If you want to manage your Cardano (ADA) securely, connecting a hardware wallet like Ledger Flex to Yoroi is one of the best options. A hardware wallet keeps your private keys offline while still allowing you to send transactions, stake ADA, and interact with the Cardano ecosystem.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to connect your Ledger Flex to the Yoroi wallet step by step. If you’re still choosing a device, you can also check our guide to the Best Hardware Wallets for Cardano. For more wallet setup guides, visit our crypto wallet tutorials hub.
1. Make sure you have installed the Cardano app in Ledger Live. Once installed, it will appear on your Flex device like in the image below.

2. Install the Yoroi browser extension for Google Chrome.
3. Connect your Ledger Flex to your computer and open the Cardano app on the device. In Yoroi, choose the “Connect a hardware wallet” option.

4. At the time of writing this article, Yoroi has not yet added dedicated options for Ledger Stax or Ledger Flex. Select Ledger Nano X to continue.

5. In the pop-up window, select Flex.
6. Confirm the public key export on your Flex device.
7. Choose a name for your wallet.

8. That’s it — your Ledger Flex is now connected to Yoroi. You can now send and receive ADA, stake your tokens, participate in Cardano governance, and manage Cardano native tokens and NFTs, all while keeping your private keys secured on your hardware wallet.

Troubleshooting Ledger Flex and Yoroi Connection
If Yoroi does not detect your Ledger Flex, make sure the Cardano app is open on the device and that your browser supports hardware wallet connections. Sometimes reconnecting the device or refreshing the Yoroi extension can resolve detection issues.
Also ensure that Ledger Live is closed, since it can occasionally interfere with hardware wallet connections in browser wallets. If the connection still fails, disconnect the device, reconnect it, and repeat the hardware wallet setup process.
Even though Yoroi currently lists only Ledger Nano devices, Ledger Flex works the same way and can be safely selected during the setup process.
