Recovering a Cardano wallet with a seed phrase is simple and works across most Cardano wallets. Since Cardano uses the same recovery standard, you can restore your wallet in another compatible app if you lose access to your current one.
For example, you can take the recovery phrase from wallets like VESPR or Eternl and restore the same wallet in Nufi, Daedalus, Lace, or other Cardano wallets.
In this tutorial, we’ll take the recovery phrase from the VESPR wallet and restore it in the Nufi wallet.

1. Get your recovery phrase ready.

As you can see, my VESPR wallet currently holds 39.50 ADA.

2. Install the Nufi Chrome extension and choose “Restore existing wallet.”

3. Enter your recovery phrase and click “Continue.”

4. Your wallet is now restored. As you can see, the Nufi wallet shows the same ADA balance as the VESPR wallet, confirming that the recovery phrase restored the correct wallet.

Important Security Tip
Never share your Cardano recovery phrase with anyone. Anyone who has access to your seed phrase can fully control your funds. Always store it offline in a secure place.
